Eric Clapton

Eric Clapton - one of the world's most revered musicians - has announced a very special run of UK shows to take place in May next year.
 
In a career spanning more than 40 years, Clapton has received a staggering 18 Grammy awards. Hes the only triple inductee into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame - as a solo artist and also as a member of both the Yardbirds and Cream. He has also contributed to numerous artists' albums over the decades. His most well known guest slot is on George Harrison's While My Guitar Gently Weeps. His guitar playing can also be heard on albums by Aretha Franklin, Steven Stills, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Plastic Ono Band (John Lennon and Yoko Ono), Ringo Starr, Sting and Roger Waters.
 
The ex-Cream guitarist will perform at the Liverpool Echo Arena and the Manchester Evening News Arena on the 13th and 14th of Feb 2010 respectively, before embarking on an eleven night run at London's Royal Albert Hall.
 
According to the star, playing the Royal Albert Hall is 'like playing in my front room', which is handy considering he'll be there for nearly two weeks!
